Basin Fragment

Basin Fragment

This shred appears to represent a small basin or bowl form that would have served as an ointment pot or jar, another important medical tool.

Surgeons used such jars to store curative substances, and Blackbeard was noted as having besieged the port of Charleston with Queen Anne's Revenge in order to obtain a chest of medicines.
