Stoneware ceramics represent three separate open-mouth, hollowware forms, such as jugs or krugs. A krug has a slightly wider orifice than a jug. These vessels would have been used for storage, serving, and drinking of liquids, mostly beverages, likely ales or wines. They are of high quality salt glazed stoneware indicating German manufactory.
